WordPress 3.0.2. has just been released. It’s a mandatory security update for all previous versions of WordPress – while this release does address some specific security issues, it’s always a good idea to keep your WordPress installation updated to the latest version to ensure that your site is as secure as possible against threats.

You can update your version of WordPress directly from your dashboard using the automatic update feature, but please remember to backup your site before you do! (If you’re not sure about making manual backups, you should consider signing up for our VaultPress backup service.)
